Sustainability
Wood instead of plastic!
Our company has always been passionate about sustainability since its inception. As climbers, we are connected to nature and therefore want to take care of it. Using wood instead of plastic to make our products is just one way we are trying to be more sustainable. We have made it our mission to create products that are environmentally friendly and contribute to the well-being of our planet.
One of the major ways we are achieving this goal is by using wood as the primary material for our product. Wood is a naturally renewable resource that can be sourced responsibly, and when taken care of, it can last a lifetime. Additionally, we use every part of the tree to minimize waste. Sawdust, for example, is given to a local farmer and he gives it to his cows so they stay clean, dry, and comfortable, and sleep in a healthy environment.
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the product itself. We use used cartons for our packaging and paper tape instead of plastic. We are proud to say that none of our products or packaging contain artificial materials.
Working with local carpenters to increase sustainability
We believe in giving back to the community. Right from the beginning we were enrolled in a local business incubator, where we could connect with other start-ups and share good practices. Working with local carpenters gives us an opportunity to be part of every step of the production and we are super proud of that. We hope that one day we will have our own workshop and we’ll be able to do all this stuff by ourselves!
Although Slovenia has a lot of wood, it mostly exports it. As we have easy access to this material, we decided to create our product out of wood. All the wood is gathered from local forests, processed in local mills, and stored in our hometown. In our work, we always try to collaborate with local companies and support each other.

Minimizing waste
We believe in using every part of the tree to minimize waste, and we do this in several different ways. One such way is through the use of scrap pieces of wood. These larger pieces that still have lumber on them are repurposed to create raised garden beds. These beds are then used to grow a variety of different vegetables, which not only helps to minimize waste but also provides fresh, locally grown produce.
In addition to repurposing the larger scrap pieces, we also make use of the finer wood that is left over. This wood is used to create beautiful, high-quality wooden cutting boards and plates. These products are not only functional but also help to minimize waste by using up the smaller pieces of wood that would otherwise be discarded. The few pieces that remain are used as firewood and are used to keep us warm in winter.

Our commitment to sustainability for better future
We are proud of our efforts to create a more sustainable future, and we hope that our commitment to sustainability inspires others to do the same. Together, we can make a difference and create a better world for future generations.
